সাভারের আশুলিয়ায় রিজেন্ট গ্রুপের চেয়ারম্যান সাহেদের স্বাক্ষরিত ও সীলসহ ৪৮ পাতার একটি চেকবই উদ্ধার ও দুই ব্যক্তিকে আটক করেছে র্যাব-১ এর সদস্যরা ।এসময় তাদের ব্যবহৃত প্রাইভেটকার তল্লাশি করে মাদক দ্রব্যও উদ্ধার করে র্যাব ।
বৃহস্পতিবার(১৬ জুলাই) রাতে র্যাবের আইন ও গণমাধ্যম শাখার পরিচালক লে.কর্নেল আশিক বিল্লাহ মুঠোফোনের মাধ্যমে আটক ও চেকবই এবং মাদক উদ্ধারের বিষয়টি নিশ্চিত করেন ।
আটককৃতরা হলেন, রিজেন্ট গ্রুপের ব্যবস্থাপনা পরিচালক মাসুদ পারভেজের ভাইরা গিয়াস উদ্দিন জালালী (৬১) । তিনি বি-বাড়িয়া জেলার বাঞ্ছারামপুর থানার রুপসাদী গ্রামের মৃত ফকির সুলতান জালালীর ছেলে । অন্যদিকে প্রাভভেটকার চালক মাহমুদুল হাসানকেও(৪১) আটক করে র্যাব ।
র্যাবের ওই কর্মকর্তা জানান, বৃহস্পতিবার বিকাল ৫টার দিকে সাভারের আশুলিয়ার নরসিংহপুর এলাকায় অভিযান পরিচালনা করে র্যাব । এসময় রিজেন্ট গ্রুপের চেয়ারম্যান সাহেদের স্বাক্ষরিত ৪৮ পাতার একটি চেক বই উদ্ধার করা হয়েছে ।
পরে তাদের ব্যবহৃত প্রাইভেটকার তল্লাশি করে ইয়াবা ও ফেন্সিডিল উদ্ধার করা হয়।এরপর রিজেন্ট গ্রুপের ব্যবস্থাপনা পরিচালকের ভাইরা ও তার গাড়ি চালককে আটক করা হয়েছে । এরসাথে তাদের ব্যবহৃত প্রাইভেটকারটি(ঢাকা মেট্রো-গ ২৯-৫০১৫) জব্দ করে র্যাব । এঘটনায় আশুলিয়া থানায় একটি মামলা দায়ের করা হয়েছে জানান র্যাবের ওই কর্মকর্তা ।
