ঈদুল আযহার উপলক্ষে ৪দিন ছুটি শেষে আজ সকাল থেকে চাঁপাইনবাবগঞ্জ–সোনামসজিদ স্থলবন্দর দিয়ে ভারত-বাংলাদেশের মধ্যে পণ্য আমদানি-রপ্তানি শুরু হয়েছে।
বুধবার ৫ আগষ্ট সকাল সাড়ে ১০ টার দিকে ভারতীয় পণ্য বোঝাই ট্রাক প্রবেশের মধ্য দিয়ে বন্দরের কার্যক্রম শুরু হয়। সেই সাথে বন্দরের অভ্যন্তরেও ফিরে এসেছে কর্ম ব্যস্ততা।
সোনামসজিদ স্থলবন্দর শুল্ক ষ্টেশনের সহকারি কমিশনার সাইফুর রহমান জানিয়েছেন, সকাল সাড়ে ১০টা থেকে পেঁয়াজসহ বিভিন্ন ভারতীয় পণ্যবাহী ট্রাক বন্দরে প্রবেশ করতে শুরু করে। তিনি জানান, ছুটি শেষে আজ আবারো আমদানি-রপ্তানি শুরু হওয়ায় প্রানচাঞ্চল্য ফিরে এসেছে বন্দরে।’ করোনার জন্য দেশের যাত্রী প্রবেশ বন্ধ রয়েছে।
